WHPOA – GENERAL MEETING
June 8, 2017
Meeting called to order by Jason Jackson
Treasury report given by Bob Haddock. At the time of the meeting, our checking account had $31,250.44
Cindy and Bob mentioned that they would like to give up their treasurer and secretary positions come next year so they can travel more. Asked that others start thinking about taking over these two positions come January.
A big thank you was given to Dennis and Margie Schermerhorn for all their past help and work with the POA as they leave us for their new home in Paducah KY. Unfortunately they were not able to attend so their thank you card/gift card will be presented to them before they leave town.
A discussion was made about a donation to the Hardy fire department as a thank you for all their support, use of their building etc. Larry Newton made a motion that we should make the donation and Valerie Bathrick seconded the motion. Jim Herbst made a motion that our donation should be $1,000. Adam Sharp and Bob Haddock both seconded the motion. A vote was taken for both motions and all were in favor. The donation will be made at the next City Hall meeting in July.
An announcement was made that the proposed sale of the Park land on Woodland Hills Rd has been put on hold until we can do some further investigating on the covenants concerning the land. The appraisal came in at $36,900.
The last discussion of the meeting had to do with the covenants for all of Woodland Hills, aka, “Bill of Assurance” for each section. 2018 is the next time any changes can be made to the covenants. We need to make sure we investigate all the paper work we have to make sure any deadlines do not pass on any important covenant changes that could be overlooked. At this time it is unclear whether or not we need to involve an attorney and if so, who would it be.
Motion made and seconded to adjourn.
